Canadian money news, about twice a month

New guides, tool updates, and the Canadian money deadlines worth knowing, in plain English with the numbers sourced. About twice a month, and we keep to that.

What you get

  • New guides as they publish. Explainers and comparisons with the current year's numbers, checked against official sources.
  • Tool updates. When a calculator launches, or when the figures behind one change.
  • Deadlines before they arrive. The RRSP contribution deadline, tax filing season, and the January TFSA room reset, with time to act.
  • Promo changes on our comparisons. When a rate or offer on a comparison page ends or changes, with a link to the updated page.

What you won't get

  • No ads for products inside the emails, and no direct links to providers.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing your address. Ever.
  • No daily emails, and no hoops to leave: one click unsubscribes you, processed same-day.

How your email is handled

  • Double opt-in. After you subscribe, we send one email with a confirm link. Nothing else is sent until you click it, and the link expires in 48 hours.
  • Sent by our email provider. The form goes straight to the service that sends the newsletter. This website never sees or stores your address.
  • Proof of consent. The provider records when and where you subscribed and the wording you saw, as Canada's anti-spam law requires.
  • Leaving is easy. Every email identifies LoonieLogic and has an unsubscribe link.

Free worksheets, coming at launch

Each one arrives by email when you ask for it. Getting a worksheet never signs you up for the newsletter: that is a separate box, and it starts unticked.
